“2023 Grech Strada Ion 90 day review. Love my new Gree AC unit, its so quite!!! The heat pump and dehumidifier are just bonuses. However I will say this before you attempt the upgrade check with Firefly Integrations (574.825.4600) before the install so you have the latest software version and installation instructions for you touch panels. That way everything will work properly right from the start.”

So happy with this AC/Heat pump. I'm using it on my race trailer. It replaces a 6 year old GE AC/Heat pump that was working fine and had very few hours of use. I bought the Eco Cool because I wanted something quieter and most importantly, less hungry for power. I'll be using an EcoFlow 7200w battery system. The inverter compressor technology used by the Gree Eco Cool unit is the real deal. This AC/Heater will use less than 1/2 the power to run it than the GE (conventional compressor). And it is VERY quiet. It's easy to stand directly under the AC and still have a normal conversation. Wow! If I based my rating strictly on the unit's performance I'd give it 5*. I've only had it operating for a day but have confidence it will last. I also purchased the soft start kit. It works well and installs easily once you identify the wires. Here are the things that kept me from a 5* review: - Performing the last physical step of the installation is very difficult for a single person to do. That step is to install the 4 screws that attach the vented cover to the ceiling bracket. Extremely difficult because the screw holes are VERY difficult to find. There are no physical guides to assure proper alignment of the cover, so finding the screw holes requires creativity and a little luck. I used a flashlight and then a thin poker to find and align the holes. It's tricky but can be done. I wish the cover had positive alignment so the screw holes would line up more easily. - I think there is a panel light on the cover but it doesn't illuminate when I press the button. The instructions state that some features on not operational on all models. That's not helpful. How is anyone supposed to find out which functions are supposed to operate? - The installation instructions are not great. I wouldn't recommend self installation of this unit unless you are very handy and can figure things out that are not addressed or specified in the install manual. - The operation manual also lacks clarity. I'm still experimenting and will figure it out. - The packaging protects the product well. The only item needed that wasn't supplied is the strain relief for 120v power in. I just re-used the one from the GE AC I replaced. - There is an app to use your phone as a remote controller. Note the app will only work if your RV has its own wi-fi network. You cannot use your phone's mobile hotspot unless you then use a different phone for the app. I did find a YouTube video from a 3rd party that was extremely helpful with my installation. https://youtu.be/DTcLVN4R5qU?si=upXIBifa2UVgBRLn All in all, I'm really happy with this unit.

I'm in Columbus Ohio, I'm very please with Eco-Cool and Premier Products staff. At the beginning I have a lot of questions and all of them was answered in a very clear and professional way, I had an Electric 2022 Medium Roof Ford Transit and I want to use the EcoFlow Delta 3 Ultra unit, I endup trading the Electric van and Get a new 2026 Gasoline Transit High Roof and extended. It was a struggle to find someone to help me to do the installation, but I found a local company, they did a great job. Auto Additions in Westerville Ohio. Today I have it installed and I use the ac today. The battery runs my AC without any issue. I can keep the charge on it with the Ecoflow Alternator 800 watts while the van is on. I'm looking forward for the outcome during the winter time. Thanks

We’ve been waiting until we got to use the van before writing to you. Well, we are currently living in the van (actually down by a river right now at our sons place, 😆) We’ve been giving the heat pump on the EcoCool a good workout with temps near 30 degrees and it is amazing. We expect the A/C side of it to perform even better once Mother Nature remembers to turn the sun on. Can’t wait! Thank you for the great service while we visited for the install. Please extend that to Mike and Dave the installer, and the rest of the Premier Products Team for us.

Installed on a 2020 Lance 855S truck camper. This is slightly longer than my previous Coleman Mach 8 and would not clear the sky window on the roof of the camper. To make it fit I had to add material to raise the A/C unit another 3/4" (see green portion of image). Essentially, I doubled the foam gasket size at the opening and support end of the unit to clear the sky light. I think my solution should work. The unit itself is very quiet (reason I bought this unit) compared to my old Coleman. My noise decibel readings went from 62/75 (low/high fan speed) down to 47/54.

I changed out the original, very noisy Coleman Mach ac unit for this Ecocool Free Blow. What a difference, quiet, energy efficient (used about 1/3 less electricity than the Coleman) and the remote is an added bonus. Thank you guys, the entire removal and install took about 2.5 hours and it's a(camping) game changer!

My 2021 Montana 5th wheel struggled in low 90* temps here in AZ. 2 Coleman 13k was not enough to stay below 85 degrees. I added the new EcoCool 15k heat pump/ac in the center of the unit and used the non-ducted model. It is near 90 right now, the wife is baking cookies in the oven, and the temp with just the unit running is a comfortable 74*. The unit had a vibration with the compressor running So I removed the outdoor shroud and investigated. The problem was that one of the compressor mounting bushings was not made properly and the metal sleeve would not allow the retainer nut to compress the rubber pad to hold the compressor. A couple of nylon washers below the retainer nut solved the problem. (Side note, before I retired I was a master HVAC tech. I would not recommend that an inexperienced person do what I did!). If I ever need a new unit again I would definitely purchase a Gree EcoCool. This unit is very well made.

It's been installed in my NEW RV Trailer...the guys installing it say it blows REALLY COLD ! That's what we wanted it for (here in Tucson AZ). I purchased the Soft Start as well as it just made sense. I don't know why anyone wouldn't. Looking forward to enjoying my trailer in ALL Seasons down here.

The GREE RV Rooftop unit is excellent. It works perfectly and is a direct replacement for any standard RV roof unit. It is quiet and performs as a RV unit should.

This was the third and final unit. These grew units are a great product and far superior to any of the other RV crap the other manufacturers sell. Easy to install, amp draw is minimal and they are very quiet. A tad louder than a wall mount mini split, but this is a direct replacement for your old RV rooftop unit.

Easy Install. The guys at Premier Products are top notch. The unit is quiet for a roof unit. Only noise is from the fan unit. The remote thermostat and app are very user friendly.

Ordering and shipping were great. The installation was straightforward and easy for the most part, I had to verify some info for the soft start. Customer support was very responsive. The unit is much quieter than our Coleman. The Coleman was about 70-75 decibels on high while sitting on the couch. The Eco-Cool had the following readings: Turbo 54db, High 52db and Low was 49db. The two things that I don’t like as a matter of personal preference: 1) The fan doesn’t cycle off when the compressor shuts off. 2) When in Auto mode I cannot adjust the upper and lower temperature settings. The unit has a range of 68 heat to 77 cool when in Auto. These are minor inconveniences. Overall we are happy with the unit. We have our next trip in a couple of weeks so we’ll see how it works. We leave our camper plugged in and the unit on while at home to keep the humidity down (we’re in southeast Texas).

I absolutely love this AC! So much quieter than the old Coleman Super Mach on my 1989 Airstream that it replaced! Quality of the construction is excellent . Installation was easy although the manual was not easy to understand as it was obviously written by the manufacturer in Australia. Pictures were very small. Larger pictures would be a big improvement. There is an excellent video on YouTube of an installation on an Airstream which was very helpful.

This unit completely met and exceeded expectations for cooling power, noise reduction and efficient usage of energy. The Eco-cool unit replaced the original 10 year old Coleman installed in our 2015 Winnebago Era Touring Coach (Sprinter Chassis). Energy usage was a prime motivator for purchasing Eco-cool unit and it did not disappoint, 9Kw of battery power will now provide up to 7 hours of steady run cooling. Compared to the previous units use of +1300 watts the Eco-Cool use 950 -1030 watts and with the thermostat it shuts down the compressor when cooling is not need and runs at about 300 watts on low fan. The Eco-cool is also a 1500 BTU unit compared to the previous units 1350 BTU'S and easily maintains the lightly insulated Era interior temp at 72 degrees. Attendance of non-pet friendly events is now care free because our little traveling companion is cool and comfortable in very quiet environment. All this without the use of the noisy disruptive, fuel guzzling, expensive LP fueled generator. The noise reduction is a real game changer as my phone app indicates the noise level is now that of a quiet office, amazing since the previous unit was at a busy freeway level. Finally the Sprinter based Era has low head room of about 6'3" and the standard interior plenum would not allow our cabinet doors to open, luckily Premier has fashioned a low profile interior plenum that worked out perfectly for the Era. I installed the unit myself without much trouble in 4 hours, it requires a handyman skill level.

Drop-in installation. Wiring is intended to isolate wiring within built-in enclosure within unit which keeps erratic voltages under control. Had a crazy experience when turning the unit on and the temp readout on the interior unit turned off. Did that 4 times!!! Only to find out the unit was operating but I just couldn't hear it!!! !!! The unit absolutely freezes my rig when set to 75 degrees, so I'm sure it'll be amazing at higher temp settings since its prioritizes dehumidifying over cooling to make the entire cooling process more efficient. The dry-bulb on this must be super high since it is able to shed so much moisture from within the cabin. My gutter drip spouts are shedding water as if it was a brief spring shower, yet not a cloud in sight! Absolutely love this unit. Finally a product that delivers on its promise! Much thanks to Eric, Brandon and Peter with getting this to me ASAP while other vendors dragged their knuckles...

I installed this on my 2017 coleman camper. The old unit was hit or miss for working and after having an ac tech check it out I decided to invest in this unit. It was an easy install, other than getting it on the roof. Process was less than 2 hours for the install. We have used it twice on trips so far and on 95+ degree days, the inside temp was 75. This is a great unit and customer service was outstanding.

I love how quiet it is! Only concern is will it stand up to Texas heat but doing great with temperatures in 94 and under. Time will tell have had 3 digit heat yet.

Super power efficient AC! Doesn't overdraw amps. Even in 108 degrees/30% humidity it kept internal temp at 80 degrees and didn't have run every minute of the day. I replaced a Coleman Mach System. It could use a RV air flow type air direction to be even more efficient on RV ducts. Overall incredibly happy with this system.

Mercedes Sprinter 3500 XD (24') A great HVAC unit. Quiet and strong. In direct sun in AZ, 105 plus degrees, this unit can keep up. The sound is not intrusive and is a quality-of-life upgrade in the coach. 600-watt-hour lithium and using AC getting 7/8 hours of run time depending on the time of day.

I installed 4 of the Eco cool AC units on our Prevost Bus this week and they are extremely quite! The only thing you hear is the air flow coming thru the vents. I chose to use the manual controls verses using the ducked system and I am glad that I did. They pull a less less amps than the cruise airs. With all 4 of them running they only pull 24 amps and the cruise air pulls 19 by its self. Time will tell but so far these units are incredible and cool the coach great. It was 92 yesterday and they cooled the coach great!!

My daughter is 5 months pregnant and living in her camper 365 days a year and her AC is failing and finally did so time to replace!!! I did a lot of research and wanted a heatpump that will still work in below freezing temps and this is one of the few that does and no need for heat strips. The unit was basically a drop in place of old one minus some duct work repairs and resealing. I have the ducted version with wired control panel and can change temps and Heat/Cool. She has been using it now for almost 2 months and is very quite and way more powerful than the old Cole--n. The people at the technical and shipping are based here in the USA and are fantastic to work with!!! I feel I made the right move with this unit. Thanks, Mike

Amazing! Went from a free blowing Dometic to the Eco Cool. Went from 59 to 61 decibels to 48 to 50 decibels. Note this was measured with an app on my phone and may not be accurate but still provides a good comparison of before and after. Basically, it makes less than half the noise on low VS the Dometic.

I replaced a very loud (80dB!) Dometic rooftop air conditioner with the Eco cool from Premier products. Once I got it on the roof, the installation went very quickly, and the unit works as advertised. It’s very quiet for which I am grateful. Thank You - prior to this install I had to wear two layers of noise canceling devices (IPod and Bose) to tolerate the noise.

Compared to the original equipment A/C unit in our HQ 19 trailer, the Gree Heat Pump unit: > Was much quieter > Offered greater utility (Cool, Heat, Dehumidify modes) > Came to the rescue when our propane heater failed

Very impressed with the AC unit. Even more impressed with how quickly I received my unit! I ordered it late on a Friday afternoon, the order was processed Monday morning and the AC unit arrived at my address that Thursday…and I am in Fairbanks, Alaska! I would rate the service at 10 Stars if that was an option.

The installation was a little more involved - I have a Toyhauler with a sloped roof but the EcoCool needs to be level to operate correctly. So, I needed more foam to raise the front end and the long bolts (they sent me the short bolts even though I asked for the long bolts). Once I had all the required materials, the installation went as I had hoped. It's really quiet, as I had hoped, and pumps out cold air which will be nice this summer. The added bonus is the electric heater part of it for cold mornings (so we don't have to use the propane heater).

This AC unit is MUCH quieter than our original Coleman Mach 8 air conditioner. The installation instructions are written in crude English but the illustrations are well detailed. The input power electrical connectors are well done and make wiring an easy job. The control wire connector was a little tricky to figure out - you press a single tab on the wide side to disconnect. It was hard to find the screw holes for attaching the inside unit to the outside unit. I finally used a six foot stepladder and blocks of wood to hold the inside unit just below the ceiling to allow fiddling with the wires. Then used a few more blocks of wood to press the unit up to the ceiling while I fished for the screw holes using an awl. I drew a pencil line around the cover once it was screwed in place to make this easier in the future. We haven't camped with the unit yet but it cools well, is much quieter and looks like a winner.

Loved the fast delivery. UPS was a little rough and box had a puncture hole and aomething hit the unit. But not enough to worry about it. Unit functions great! So incredibly quiet. And at the same time cools my RV in a matter if minuets. Power consumption is 31% leas than the 2022 GE unit. I know because i measured it. I would buy this again

Very quiet air conditioning the install was easy except lining up the inside cover. It took seven or eight tries to line up screws. Other than that, we are very happy with our new purchase.

The Eco-Cool does just what it says: It is quiet, efficient and uses about 25% less power than my old Coleman-Mach unit. Installation was straightforward, but I would suggest modifying the inside section to make it easier to line up the screw holes to assist in lining it up.
